National Health Care

Why do so many people not see the examples of how our government run programs are doing? There is not one program that our government is in charge of that is running at or under budget and efficently. I seem to remeber a problem just a few years ago with the VA hospitals and how they were being run. Isn't our government in charge of the VA hospitals? Just look how the wounded soldiers are being treated, we expect the same treatment with national health care or worse then what our wounded soldiers are recieving. Why is it the governments responsibility to provide health care for the citizens of this country?

Government is the problem not the solution. This country was built by people who were able to solve their own problems and willing to take responsiblity for their own actions. At some point in our past it started to become acceptable for to pass your own problems on to some else, this is not how this country became the greatest in the world. It is time that we accept responsibility for our own problems and actions. When we start accepting responsiblity for our own problems and action our great country will be back on the right path.

State Government

I have wonder why the State Governments do not stand up to the Federal Government about how they have lost their Freedoms. I see each State Govt looking to the Fed Govt for hand outs. Why do the State Govt do this?

I would think that each state govt would want to be independent as much as possible when it comes to running their state. Right now with how things have changed, if one state fails then the rest of the states are going to be drug into the mess and the mess will keep growing. But if each state was in control of their own state and not reliant on the fed govt if one state failed the rest would be insulated from the failure. There is nothing wrong with a business or a state failing, when this happens it allows people to learn from their mistakes and to improve. Yes it is difficult when it first happens and there are tough decisions to be made that will make it tough on people, but this country was founded by people that did not take the easy way out.

I honestly believe that we need to return to following the Constitution and have strong state govt. The Federal Govt needs to return to it rightful role.

Simple Question?

Why is it so many people want the Government to provide for them?

History has taught me that 13 original colonies were colonized by people who took a leap of faith and settled in a land that was new to them. These people did not wait for a king to provide them with what ever they needed, they took the bull by the horns and made due with what they had. Eventually it was recognized how well they were doing so they got taxed and lost their freedoms. We all know how that turned for our great country. I am not proposing a revolution in that sense, I am proposing that we take our country back by electing people who reflect our values and principles. This is a very peacefull way to change how our country is being run. This task will not be a quick one, it has taken many years to get to this point where government is out of control, it will take many more to get the governement back in control of the people.

We need to get rid of the poor me mentality and replace it with the can do mentality. There was a time when we all thought that we can do anything, unfortunately we now have a lot of people thinking that they hve been wronged and some one needs to take care of them, Governement.

I think a lot of our problems can be solved by having self respect and indepence.

Our Country

We need to have our country returned to the right path before it is destroyed. For many years our Governement has been slowly leading our country down a path were they are trying to create a Utopia. They are trying to change our country into a place that no has to suffer, worry about working hard, worry about a job, woryy about housing, or worry about making a mistake. This will lead to where the Government will make all the decision for everyone, but to do this we will have to allow the Governement to remove all of our rights and freedoms. The Governement will tell us where we can live, when we can hvae medical treatment if any, how much food we can have, where we will work, etc.... The Government is using national crises to to slowly remove our freedoms with terms like "it is for the good of the people". The Great Depression is a great example of how the Governement is willing to trample our rights to get the power they need to control us.

Voting

One the greatest privileges and responsibility we have as American Citizens is the right to vote for elected representatives. I personally did not start voting until about 12 yrs ago, the main reason that I decided to wait until then to start was that I did not follow what was happening in the country.

Since then I have been following the events happening in and out of country as best as I can. One thing I have noticed is the lack of people who actually take the time to vote in our elections. It is a shame that so many people do not use their right to vote. I wish more of our citizens actually voted in our election. The census report I was able to find shows that there is approximatley 281 million people in our country and our last election shows that approximatley 120 million voted.

How do we get more people involved with the election process?

Tea Party's

April 15, 2009 has come and gone. Many people around this country showed their support of the Tea Party's by showing up and expressing their disatisfaction with how our country is be driven into the ditch. We can not stop with just one event, we need to continue to show our elected officails that we will not go away. We have sent them a message with the Tea Party's and they are hoping that we will lose interest with the government like we have with other issues, we can not allow this to happen we needed to apply more pressure to them and get more involved. We also need to show them our resolve that they can not nor will we let them destroy our great nation.

Lets all make them remeber who they actually work for, They Work For The People!

We the People Part 2

It seems that our nation has lost the can do attitude and taken up the give me attitude. I am 37 yrs old andcan see how my generation is different from the previous generation, it is not a good. Most people of my generation want the nice office and the good paying job from the time they leave school, they feel entitled to start at the top, but they do not want to earn it. Fortunately I was raised by caring parents that taught me to set goals and then earn what I wanted.

The way my generation is not all the fault of the kids, some of the fault is with their parents. The parents want all the good things for their kids and set about to getting them for the kids. The parents are also trying to sheild their kids from the hardships that they went thru when they were kids, but they forget that those hardships is what has formed them into the person that they are and set their values.

The side effects of how the kids are being raised are:
1. Kids do not know how to deal with failure
2. Kids expect every thing they ask for to be given to them
3. Kids do not learn how to earn what they want

If we continue to raise our kids this way, we will hamper them for life and inturn hamper our great country. Unfortunately we our not the future of this country, our children are.

Please change the future by raising your children with the values that your parents taught you.

We the People

WE the People need to take a greater interest in what our elected government is doing. We also have to remeber that the government works for us, we do not work for them. I do not like how the government is running our great country into the ground to appease other countries. Why does our government feel the need to continually place obstacles in our way so that other countries can try to keep up or passs us. It is about time that our country get back to theprinciples that has allowed us to get ot where we are and will take us to the next level.
